In 1989, I graduated from Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine. In 1992-1995, I completed my specialisation in Anatomy at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy, which I entered by winning the Medical Speciality Examination.
I completed my residency in General Surgery at Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital in 2000, which I started by succeeding in the Medical Speciality Examination, which I re-entered in 1995 for General Surgery, which was my dream, and thus I became a specialist in double major, Anatomy and General Surgery.
Between 2000-2002, I worked as a lecturer and lecturer of General Surgery at Kadir Has University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Anatomy. In 2008, I started to work again at Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital, where I received my surgical specialisation, and I worked as a Surgery Specialist in the same hospital for many years.
During my training, I was particularly interested in the diagnosis and surgery of breast cancer and benign diseases of the breast, as well as proctology (anal area diseases).
On 19.06.2012, I was successful in the Associate Professorship exam and received the title of Associate Professor of General Surgery.
In 2014, I completed the 1st step of the International course organised by the European Breast Academy in Düsseldorf, Germany, and in 2015, I completed the 2nd step of the course on Breast Cancer Surgery at the European Oncology Clinic in Milan, Italy (European Institue of Oncology) and received the Breast Surgery undergraduate diploma valid in Germany, Austria and the German canton of Switzerland. In 2014, I was an observer at the Vivantes Hospital Breast Centre in Berlin.
In 2015-2017, I worked as an Associate Professor of General Surgery at Yeni Yüzyıl University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery.
In 2017, I started working at Göztepe Medikal Park Hospital and established the Breast Centre in the same hospital. On 27.01.2018, I received the title of Professor at Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery and served as the Head of the Department of General Surgery between 2018-2021.
In 2021, I started to work as a lecturer at Demiroğlu Bilim University Department of General Surgery and as a General Surgery Specialist at Florence Nightingale Hospitals. I am currently working as a lecturer at Demiroğlu Bilim University Department of General Surgery and part-time as a General Surgery specialist at Ataşehir Florence Nightingale Hospital.
I have published over 85 articles in national and international journals and authored 2 book chapters, one on “Menopause and Breast Cancer” and the other on “Breast Cancer in Men”. I am still closely following scientific congresses and developments.
My areas of interest are benign breast diseases, especially breast cancer diagnosis and surgery
surgery, Proctology (haemorrhoids, anal fissure, anal abscess, anogenital chonduloma), pilonidal sinus,
hernia surgery and thyroid surgery.
In addition to my duties at Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals, I have been working in the Ataşehir region
I serve in my own clinic in Liberty plaza.
