PROF. DR MURAT TUNCER
Prof. Dr. Murat Tuncer, born on August 1, 1977, is an accomplished urologist with a rich academic and professional history. In 1994, he graduated from Istanbul Şişli High School, and in 2001, he earned his degree from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. His journey into urology began at Istanbul Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital’s Urology Clinic after graduating from medical school, culminating in his attainment of the urology specialist title in 2009.
Dr. Tuncer’s expertise extends to urinary system stone diseases, where he has contributed significantly on both national and international fronts. Over the years, he has expanded his focus to include urological cancers and male sexual health. His commitment to knowledge dissemination is evident through his numerous speeches at symposiums and conferences, as well as his role as an instructor in various courses.
In 2017, Dr. Murat Tuncer achieved success in the associate professorship exam, earning the title of Associate Professor in Urology. Subsequently, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Urology at Health Sciences University, Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Dr. Tuncer is actively involved in professional organizations, including memberships in the Turkish Urology Association, Endourology Association, Urooncology Association, Urological Surgery Association, and the European Association of Urology. Since 2021, he has held the position of President at the Uskudar branch of the Sexual Health Institute Association (CİSED). In 2022, he expanded his professional horizons by establishing his own clinic, providing high-quality, international-standard services to both local and foreign patients.
July 2023 marked another milestone in Dr. Murat Tuncer’s illustrious career as he was awarded the title of Professor. Currently, he holds the position of Professor and Faculty Member at Istanbul New Century University from 2023 onward. Dr. Tuncer’s career is characterized by a relentless pursuit of excellence in urology, encompassing academic achievements, research contributions, and a commitment to advancing patient care.
